IPL 2020 Auction: Teams are finalized their teams are ahead of the IPL's 17th season, which will take place in 2024. They have released players to prepare for the IPL auction. Every team will receive a budget worth Rs. This is an increase from last year's budget of Rs. 95 crore.

The IPL Auction of 2024 saw the return of Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians the captain of Gujarat Titans Hardik,, who won the Indian Premier League in its first season.     • During the IPL Trade Window, teams can choose to trade players for cash or purchase new players.
    • IPL's governing council has the final say on whether or not to accept a trade.
    • If multiple teams express an interest in the same player, then the franchise selling the player retains the rights to select the team that the player will be playing for.
    • Any trading or transfer transaction requires the consent of the player.

IPL Mega Auction 2024

The IPL mega auction was held at a variety of venues. Each IPL Franchise had been given a budget, Rs 95 crore for building a formidable IPL team. This includes both Indian and international players. The Rs 90 crore budget can't be used to buy players alone. Teams are required to spend a minimum of 75 percent of their budget, or Rs 60 crores on player acquisitions. Teams can choose to focus their spending on their top five players between 30-40%.  

IPL 2024 Budget

For IPL 2024, the team purse was increased by Rs 5 to Rs 100 crore. Each franchise's allocation will depend on their player valuation on that particular day. Each team will receive a budget of INR100 crore (equivalent USD12.02 million) to build their teams for the IPL 2024 auction. This is a 5 crore increase from the previous budget. Mumbai Indians currently have the lowest valuation at Rs 0.05 crore. (USD 0.006million). Sunrisers Hyderabad has a value of INR 0.79 Million, which is equivalent to INR 6,55 Crore. Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, and other teams have stakes worth USD 0.54m, or about Rs 4.45cr each.
